Ground wire from battery cause problems with stereo?

Hey I recently installed an aftermarket sub and amp on my car(my thread about that is just a few down) and after installation, my amp and sub work fine but now half of the buttons on the radio do not work or light up. Some work, some do not. I have another question, while working at the battery, I discovered the dealership i bought the car from put the battery ground eye on upside down and it was super corroded and oxidized about 6 inches up into the ground wire. We fixed it with a 4 gauge ground wire. But I was wondering, would this ground or a bad ground cause my stereo buttons not to work?????? Please help!
