i wash washing my rims with just water and some car soap when i noticed that one of my rims had some grey paint chipping off my car showing the interior chrome undernith. i know that the soap was not that strong of a chemical and the other rims where ok. going to take it in tomorrow and see whats up. also that lady that hit my front bumper is getting me a new one, the body shop said that it is cheaper just to replace the whole thing verses fixin it so im replacing it any one having the same problems with there rims better check them out when you wash your cars// laterz

Whoa dude.... good luck on getting a new Rim.... Wut i heard was that they only made enuf rims for all the mp3s.. no extras... :(

mazda dealers in texas want 575.00 a wheel. It would take 2-4 weeks for delivery.to hell with that. They have to make it all over from scratch.Just have them chromed hehe.

There are plenty of rims left. Mada has the molds but you can't get that particular rim from RacingHart. A set of rims for me is only $990. That's with my employee discount at mazda. A sinlge rimshouldrun you less than $300. My discount is only 10%.

Yeah I noticed this too today after I took my rims off and put my winter ones on. Whats the deal here? I've used break dust remover on them a couple of times and have noticed some small chips coming off. This is kind of lame!!!

As for there not being any more racing hart rims for our mp3. I read in the protege performance pamphlet at the mazda dealer that they are selling our rims, suspension, spoiler, body kit, strut bars and exaust for the regular protege. I have also notice my rims have very small bubbles on them that are chipping off and i only use car soap on them and a soft sponge. no other chemicals. Reply what the dealer says about the rims chipping.

i havent had any chipping
but if its only a surface problem
you can get them powdercoated for about 100 a rim
which beats replacing them
and plus they dont have to be silver...you can get em gunmetal, white, or frickin pink if you like that stuff
