greddy type rs

(huh) what's all this about screws stripping on their own? Which screw? I just installed my type s last night.

It's the screw that tightens down from the top of the unit which adjusts how soon/late it blows off.

does anyone have a sound clip of the greddy type rs vented on their msp?
thanks

Here's a vid of a quick drive by from a roll through first with a quick romp on the throttle and then too neutral. It's 1.6mb so I hope you can view it w/o killing your computer/connection speed. You can hear it rev and then a beautiful "whooooshhh." Again, just reving the engine while in neutral doesn't give you an accurate idea of the sound. I had one from the interior but it exceed the 1.95mb file size for attachments.

I just found out the hard way that you will have to "save target as" and then onto your computer. I wasn't able to simply click on it to open :(

sounds wicked.

i think we need a sticky thread where all can post bov sound clips/video clips.

thanks guys. glad I could help (not like I needed yet ANOTHER excuse to rev my engine :p ). When I asked my wife to film this, she just looked at me with this "you better not be having sex with your exhaust pipe" type of look. lol. I told her to just do it and don't ask any questions.

to answer mspHtown pm...

I had a 19mm o.d. stainless steel pipe welded on my hot pipe which recirculates THROUGH the stock bpv into the inlet on my Injen. I should mention that this has been done by a lot of others before me so I can't take credit for this idea.

If I were to do it again, I'd have angled that 19mm down a little more cuz my hoses have to bend a little (but not enough to justify 90 degree hose). Since doing this I have NOT stalled once. That said, I do dip down to 250-500 rpms and then stableize sometimes if I take it up to 4-5K rpm and then go to neutral.
does this help?

hey will the type rs bov fit on the hiboost kit. i know the type s will but how bout the type rs i was told it has same bolt pattern as the s model.

'tis the same flange size, so yes it will bolt right up. Everything is exactly the same with the exception of the outlet size.
