Greddy Profec B- spec II Settings

Well I finally got around at installing and attempting to tune this device. The install process was a PITA and so is getting this thing dialed in correctly. I wasted a third of a tank of gas today trying to get this thing dialed in, where it does not overboost(i blew off the intercooler hose a few times today after some boost spikes. Here are my last settings that probably need to be tweaked but are a good starting point for anyone who has this.

My unit is set in PSI

Set- 4%
Gain- 30%
Start boost- 55
warning- 146
limiter- 4%

Your start boost might be way too low. You are only set to start at 5.5psi. Are you trying to setup low side? Did you read the article on how to setup the GReddy? It's posted on several other forums like Evo forums. It's even linked to on here.

Just curious, where did you install your wiring through the fire wall? Passenger side or drivers side?

hey i had the same unit and i couldnt get it to work at all on my car.Is there any walk throughs.I tried to tune it couldnt get it to hold for s***.I got turbosmart now and it hold pretty good.I would go back to the greddy if i could get it to work

the greddy unit is really easy to set and manipulate after reading the instructions, I have set at either 35-38 can't remember, I have gain set to 30, my start boost is set to 140, and my warning is set to 190, my limiter is 10%. The unit holds 17-18 psi strongly at this setting.I really dig this boost controller. Not only can you control the amount of boost you run but being able to control the speed of the turbo spool, along with having access to three boost settings at the touch of a button(factory10 psi, Hi,lo) makes this unit worth so much more than a MBC to me. Having this unit also makes me wish I had an Apexi AVCR for the additional settings that unit allows.
