my wife baught me a greddy oil filter block adapter for my birthday. i was about 15 seconds away from actually putting it on and i threaded the center piece on and it seemed like it stopped about an 1/8th of an inch short of being tight onto the block.... wtf. I know that a few people have them also and i was wondering if it is a common problem. Or did i just f. it up somehow???(dunno)

From my experience installing remote oil filter relocator kits which screw onto your existing oil filter housing, I've had to cut about .5-.75 of an inch from the stud the filter screws onto to get a seal..Just use a hacksaw and file the thread with a skinny file if you even have to..If you are careful where you cut it you won't even need to file it..May I ask why you're installing this part?

The shop I took my car to to get my boost/oil pressure guages installed had issues with the greddy oil block too. They left it alone and said they didn't want to try anything risky. I have to try some other shops now. So it's not just you.

Easiest solution to installing an oil pressure sensor is a 1.8th NPT to BPT nipple, and a 1/8th F/F/F Tee.
That way you can run the gauge sensor, the factory and it threads right into the block. It can be a tight fit with the oil filter, but mines working like a charm. :)
