Greddy BOV type-s stalling

i just got a Greddy BOV type-s welded on my intercooler piping and when i'm driving it when the rpms are going up and BOV goes off and i then put it in neutral stalls every time, i thought maybe since too much air was gettin' out that i'd tighten it and i did until it wouldn't open and it still stalled, tried loosening it but that didn't work either - so i took it to a shop and got the BOV redirected to the intake so then it would recirculate and be accounted for in the MAP sensor instead of just going straight out, but i drove it and it still stalled - anyone have any comments?
-thanks

yes if you have it venting into the atmosphere it will stall, youll need to downshift. i believe if its welded before the MAF it will still stall, needs to be after the MAF i think. im sure thats your problem. just down shift dude. it took me about 30 min to get used to it, but now i dont even think of it.

first check all of your silicone connectors for leaks, then tighten your bov all the way till it hardly blows off *as much* and go for a test drive. then you should gradually loosen the bov until its just right and doesn't stall.... hope this helps!! :D -mike

im venting to atmosphere and I dont stall??? (shrug)

my guess is that you drive that way normally before anyhow...if you didnt used to drive it the same you wouldnt stall because you didnt have to adjust your driving style..make sense?

my set up doesnt stall anymore all i did was change all vac lines put it on soft and got a peice or radiator hose calmped it to the outlet of bov and plumbed it back into the intake pipe no problems.....

are you referring to him or me

Do a search...TX speed demon has an excellent write up on how to tune your greddy type S so that it wont stall. Or PM him!

Its a matter of adjusting the spring so that its compatable with our cars. I experience stalling problems with my BOV but got around it...and its not adjustable like greddy. there are a few people running HKS and Greddy without stalling. JDM sam is running with just the BOV no dual setup.

hawaiian msp- what springs do you have, and how much of a drup is it?> sorry for the tj.
