Gotta Get Turbo, Need Help Picking a winner....

Listen, I'm not rich, but i do want the very best turbo kit for my MP3. I have made no modifications to it yet, and I am looking forward to hearing what you all have to say about the turbo kits out there currently.

I have been reading the forum heavily and see a wide range of support for the turbo on the FS engine. I just need a nudge and a little help understanding what i will need to get it going.

Please help me out, i've been outta the scene for a while.

1.> Who's got the Best kit? (bang for buck / Opinion as well)
2.> What other modifications should a daily driver do to to ensure long life and extended performance from these kits?
3.> Are there any products I should know about or keep away from when it comes to Turbo'in my MP3?


I know theres alot of info on this board, and you guys have a great community going on here, so please understand that I've been reading alot but still havent found an answer I understand. Whats the best Turbo for the MP3?

I will keep an eye on his kit, but I was also wanting idea's and opinions about other kits.

I totally agree 2300 is a nice arse price, I'm just not ready to buy till September. I was hoping to get all my research done over the summer/august.

Get an MPI turbo kit. I have one on my MP3 for almost a year now and it runs great. They include a piggyback computer that will allow you to control fuel and timing, which is a must on an MP3. My kit put down 228whp at 8psi with an "okay" tune. PM MPNick if you need more info. But to let you know, the MPI tuner (pigyback) is the most widely used PB on this forum and allowed an MSP to make 328whp with a built motor and 240whp on an 8psi MSP. If you go with any other kit, you should definatly consider the MPI to control things, it will allow you to make things a bit safer.

as of right now the MAM kit is getting the most spotlight. there are several threads that post up example pics. i can tell you from a customer INQUIRY standpoint answering PM's and all his customer service is excellent.

i plan to go switch over to some of his stuff when funds allow me to. i have a spool kit w/ custom FMIC that i've been running for quite some time, btw.

We have a complete kit with very good quality components. So far, no other company offers cast iron 4 into 1 turbo manifold (with lifetime warranty), ball bearing turbocharger, stand alone fuel management ECU Pre mapped to 15 psi and other components in their basic kit. All for $3,600.00
