Thanks to my installer Chris for all the help! Everything sounds so clear with tons of bass ( more than enough for me ) ! Should have been my first mod :ugh:

List of components installed :

1. Pioneer AVH-P4200DVD
2. Polk DXi 6.5" front components w/ 5x7" to 6.5" speaker adapter
3. Polk DB571 rear
4. Alpine PDX-5 5 channel amp
5. 12" Eclipse sub in a sealed box
6. PAC SWI-PS steering wheel adapter
7. Kanatech Piano Black dash kit

Chris took these pix :

I'll try to get pix of the sub sometime next week.

Quick q. where did you get those 5x7 to 6.5 adapters. I have 4 Kenwood 6.5's I'd like to put in my speed. What adapters would i need for the rear?

Wow... That's almost exactly what I was going to install this summer. How does it sound without the sub? I'm getting to the age where that much bass doesn't really do much for me any more.

Got the adapters on eBay. We installed everything at once so I can't tell you how it sounds without the sub but it's nice to have extra bass :)

That's funny to hear after reading your mod list. (laugh)

In all seriousness though, for the blose system, one can keep the stock deck and start off with only a new amp and new sub, and most will be happy with that with a few hundred invested. If you get into new comps for the door and sound-proofing, that might start bumping the budget a little though. ;)

haha, man I have bought parts used and traded around and sold other stuff to get new parts. I have had the car for 3 years too, so the parts accumulated over time :)

And yes, I had a touch screen before and added an amp and 12" sub, but I got rid of the touch screen and went back to the bose oem unit. Still sounds great with just an amp and sub.

Gt3 great job on the install. Im looking to install my sony headunit dvd with gps. Did u run into any problems with the bose? Im going to be installing it this week and don't want to run into any problems. Lol any advice would be great! :-)
