Got Good Trade-In Price

Traded my MAZDASPEED earlier this week on a new '03 Bonneville SSEi. Because of the way the deal was structured (internet deal with price of Pontiac set first before a trade was mentioned), there is no doubt as to the true trade-in price received.

A Buick-Pontiac-GMC Truck dealer in southern Kentucky gave me $16,000 for my silver Speed which had approximately 1000 miles on it. After the deal was concluded I questioned them as to why they paid so much. They said they were willing to go $15,000 and then try to retail it themselves but found a dealer in Indiana who bid $16,000.

I paid $16,074 for it new in January 2004. No doubt I will never do this well on a trade again!

I've enjoyed my time on these boards and wish everybody well as I head for the Bonneville site.

MSP will start goin up in value now that there sold out new, people will want em as time passes. Specially with all the new stuff commin out.

I have to go get mine appraised!! If they gave me that much, I would trade in right now an buy an EVO.

The Bonneville part doesn't surprise me as much as trading a 5-month-old vehicle with only 1,000 miles on it. Oh well, at least he broke even on it.

go from an MSP to a Bonneville? Did you get married and have 1.5 kids?
that's funny considering I traded in m Dakota R/T on my MSP because we wanted kids. We have a 12 year old, a 11 month old and one on the way. The MSP holds the same number of car seats as the Bonneville. MSP = Family Car.

Ouch, talk about a bummer. I remember how crappy the car felt when I drove in it. Even the newer Comp G Grand Prix is better and that car sucks. I understand trading in the MSP, but I would never consider a GM vehicle with exception of a Caddy or Vette a deal. (shocked)

i bet id get $190 for my car with all my mods
(rofl) ain't that the truth... I probably wouldn't even get that much when I am done at the end of this month :D

At first I was offered $12,000 for trade-in and I said no I want $17,000 (hey why not). They came back with $16,500 and I drove home a new EVO.
Another dealer wanted to give me $10,000.
