Got Flashed today!!!!!!!

:
2005 Premium White Pearl RSX Type-S
I know there have been a few threads on this issue but what the hell. The flash is amazing!!!    The car feels so much better in all gears all the way to redline. This is the car I payed for. No hesitation at all, I love it. After driving away from the dealership I felt like I did when I first picked the car up. Get it done if you haven't alreday! Peace

I am gonna get mine done next week, but I wanna feel the hesitation first just so I know what it feels like.

the flash is a reprogramming of the ecu to help the msp with the hesitation problem that we have. mazda just advanced the timing and didn't do anything with the richness of the feul curves.

I got my flash done on Tuesday, I really didnt start feeling the hesitation until a little while ago, I would say about 1800 miles on it. After the flash the car feels better than it ever did!!!

I'm impressed......

Ahh, they did modify the fuel maps after 5200 RPMS. :D The timing was adjusted between 2300 and 5200 RPMS.

my fault, I couldn't remeber what all had been done. There are so many threads out there. Thanks for correcting me Boostisgood.

I would think that it could be adjusted between certain rpms. I mean do you know exactly what the protege's ecu is capable of? boostisgood(and chojin) has been the reason the fix came out, he was involved in the process of them testing it and making it, I think he would know more about it than anyone else besides chojin on this board.

Hrm.. I did some more reading, I guess it could be possible. I guess it's sort of like honda's vtec-i which can change ignition timing for every rpm but I had no idea our cars came equipped with that kind of system.

So with that in mind, we should watch out for detonation in that rpm range? 9-12 psi was pretty safe pre flash.

In the old days no. In a car where every single spark is triggered at a time selected by a computer it can be whenever the hell you want it to be... that's the beauty.

ok, I came in to write this then I'm going driving. :D

I drove my MSP(postflash) about 50kms so far and the difference is night and day. I'm so pleased I could pee! ;) Smooth, even acceleration at all throttle positions, right to the redline. Thanks to those who got this matter through to Mazda! :)

i'm with jaymode, i just turned 1000 miles while driving to work today. i would sort of like to FEEL the hesitation before i go flashing s***.

WHEN DID ALL OF YOU START TO GET THE HESITATION?

dont worry, im not either, i figuire the car should goto the body shop before it goes to the dealer. cuz the dealer is going to have a list of things from me:

flash
headlights dimming w/ AC
non-working washer fluid (pump?)
that pesky coolant leak

some issues i havent decided on yet are, my car almost stalled while idling, i dont know if its because the exhaust has a leak at a joint because of the accident, or somethings wrong, and bushings, well, havent heard a "clunk", but my music might be up loud that i dont hear it.

so back on topic, i cant wait to get this flash just for the claimed smoothness! rush hour in 1st & 2nd gear is a pain, some have said the flash makes 1st and 2nd less jerky than it is now, hope its true.
