Goodbye CX-5

After 146,000 km and 12 years our 2013 GT is being moved on. This car never failed (unlike the Volvo it replaced which was towed four times over 13.5 years) and was only recalled for camera and rear hatch struts. ALWAYS fun to drive, it was still noisy, and in that year the only engine choice for the AWD was the non turbo 2.0 liter; so it was always underpowered. The car remains in great condition and will be going to a national charity organization Tuesday.

We try to replace our vehicle every 10 years if a suitable replacement is available. After waiting two years for a Lexus NX 450 h+ and then being told it could be possibly another four years, we took delivery yesterday of a Lexus NX 350h. We do a twice yearly 4.5 day 4200 km trip and are looking forward to increased quiet, comfort and fuel economy. I'm 69 and given how long we keep our cars this is likely my last one. I intend to drive into the sunset in some style.

Good choice. I also would like a 450h+, but it is sooo overpriced and hard to get. The 350h is a more practical and cost-effective choice.

Beautiful vehicles. Good choice.

Around my area, there are several. Have done their configurator a number of times. I always come back to the NX 350h AWD w/ peppercorn interior, convenience, tech, cold-weather, up-rated LED headlights, up-rated sound system and a few other baubles. Reasonable fuel economy, reasonable handling, and hard-to-beat comfort and NVH.
