about how much does a good set of brake pads run (street/track)

what kinds are avaliable for our cars?

Call up Rotora (ask for Richard Tang) and get a set of the Axxis pads for the front -- tell him Virginia with the Protege5 sent ya ... any pad will do for the rear since the rear does little of the braking.

if you want to do it properly, have a set for street and a set for track (fronts only). that way you can get pads with more initial bite for the street and pads which are higher temp for the track and you dont have to compromise between street and track.

it doesnt take too long to change over the pads when you get to the track, or even change them over the night before and drive out to the track with them already in (but just be careful)

EBC = l33t

but as their site says, not for autoX, at least not until they make Redstuff for our cars (which will prolly be around never)
