I got mine at Sam's Club for $107 with tax...and you will have someone to warranty it in case you need it.

i got mine at murrays for $109. cheapest i could find online was 100 (w/o shipping), so i figured what the hell and got it later that day. sometimes it's worth that little extra to not have to wait to get it.

do we need the 35 size optima? and what do I have to modify for it to fit properly?

Bump for an answer. Id like to find out what "series" battery is appropriate for us? Didn't some member on here sell the battery holders specifically made the Optima batteries?

you could always just do a search....

If I remember correctly, 35 is the correct size. And if you can, get the plastic topper/tray it comes with, if you put it under the battery, it makes it tall enough for the stock tiedown.

I got mine for $99 at COSTCO. One for the truck and one for the Pro.

As for the battery tie down I made my own.

A piece of flat steel from Home Depot. Bent it on my vice until I had the right fit. Drilled the holes to mount it and ground the edges into a nice smooth edge. Then painted it with body color to match.

$99 at Batteries Plus in my area. I believe you want the 25 series which is the same as the 35 but with the + on the left and the - on the right. In my opinion I would buy which ever is cheaper of the two and make it work(shady)
