Gobble Gobble

3.5titanuimSD You'll hear the turbo spool 'cause it's swallowing air like a hoover vacuum! As for the HP at the fly, not sure, but I'm guessing a ~15% increase from at the wheel
gcotton Yeah....they re-designed it (I think it's the RD-6066 now)
Brenetics Do a search for a thread called "how to kill your turkeys"....that's how you get rid of the compressor surge
CinTurbo Check the NJ/PA Prewinter thread....jersey_emt has some pics in Imagestation that he took that are great.

OK you got me interested. A few questions:
*Is it easy to install - straight bolt-on?
*Does it really give you 15 hp?
*Does it hurt fuel mileage (I'm getting 30mpg! - all highway)
*Are there any bad side-effects?

It's a straight forward installation...if you have some mechanical skills, it's pretty easy. I recommend car ramps, but they're not needed (I did mine @ night in my apt. parking lot...no ramps). It's alot more uncomfortable w/out them though.

I'm guessing I got about 12 hp from mine (just an estimate, I didn't test w/ stock airbox)

My MPG is the slightly lower than before...but I stomp on the gas a lot more now. :D

The "gobble" is actually compressor surge, which isn't that great, but it's there w/ the stock setup as well...you just hear it alot more w/ an intake.

I tried searching for the pics - but no luck :( Is there anyone you can hook me up with a link?

These are the pics that jersey_emt took w/ his camera at our last meet. You'll have to set up a user ID & password to look at the album if you haven't already. I'm pretty sure he's got some pics in there of the Injen in the engine bay of some of the MSPs.

Great shots. So the only way to get to the filter for servicing is through the wheel well?
yeah...but it's just about 4 or 5 of those easy plastic clip-screw-thingys and two screws on the underside beneath fog light....it's easy & the filter shouldn't require that much servicing. I know my old K&N recommended every 50K miles (no sooner) doing a cleaning & recharge of the filter.

Good Price On The Injen

Apex is the best price I have found.
$215 for the RD6066P and will be $218 for RD6066B + 13shp + 3 for the CC but thats if U don't call Ben Or Kenny and talk with 1 of them to work out something or dropem an E-Mail @ the least.

I got mine to the door for $220.27:D (smoke) (stoned) (hippy)
