GM to buy auto parts from India

This is no different then having the clothes, electronics, shoes, etc. that you buy made over seas. Every company is outsourcing to other countries for cost savings.

True. This is just a microcosm of a much larger issue. Still, GM has always been a staple in America as an American product -at least on the surface.

who cares... they've been doing it for a long time. You think your car is 100% american made?

I like to pretend that 99% of my Mazda was made in Hiroshima,Japan - but that's just me pretending. :)

The engine in the Chevy Equinox, Pontiac Torrent, and Buick LaCrosse are manufacturered in China.

Isn't the Saturn VUE engine from Japan - or the same one used in the CRV?
the VUE engine is a 3.5L Honda v6. Not the CRV motor. They bought engines from Honda in exchange for Diesels GM sold to them.
