more pics to follow.

Perhaps you should have held off on the photos until you had something to show. All I see is a guage and a screen. If this were my project, I'd have at least another day's worth of work before I'd be ready to pull out the fiberglass.

well, gee thanks...i plan on documenting the glassing process as well, sorry it's not good enough right now.

Give the guy a break, hes just excited about his stuff

I'm waiting for an update here. I get excited too...but I wait to post until I have something to show for it.

as some of you remember, i had these monitors in the mp3 headrests, i am heading over to my buddies to do the top part, i will post as many pics as possible later on this evening!

okay, so my camera s*** out on me, so i'll have to explain, since i have no pics...

what i did was taped the entire glovebox, then i layed down some resin to form a bottom shell.

once cured, i hot-glued a tv frame into that base, then i stretched a tee-shirt onto that, once it was set, and dry.

after that, i kept laying down resin, and then i got to sanding...more pics to come, i fixed the camera issue!

Update*

okay, so far this is taking patience i am yet aquiring. "hurry up and wait" is the best way i can think to describe it.

on with the show:

okay, so i have spent about 2 more hours sanding, and reforming the angles to make it sit right in the glovebox.

this shows the rear of the whole thing, not be be seen once final install happens, but necessary to fitment in the glovebox.

sanded2.gif

here you can see a dowel rod holding the monitors' frame in place, i need to fill this side in with bondo-glass, or bondo.

sanded.gif

the side that will recieve a volt gauge, 2 1/6"...also needs to be bondo'd smoother, and further sanded down.

more updates as they occur...

effort and hard work i have always, its the TIME that is scarce with me, i'm glad i actually am able to work on my car again.

a special thanks goes out to the president of VIVID IMAGES car and truck club. Mike Baker has done most of the work, and basically taught me everything i know (in a week) about fiberglassing anything.

more updates pics to follow, as soon as i do some sanding on the first bondo-glass coat.

Update:

layer of bondo-glasss, sanded the high spots down, and got a more contoured shape to it.

next update should include the volt gauge location, and cutting off the front edge, and shaping it.

thanks for viewing.

UPDATE:

i cut the edge off the front with a dremel, and added even more bondo-glass, and a bunch more sanding. the shape is complete. i now need to add the volt gauge, aand build up around it...on with the show:
