You get rid of him and his goverment, you get a worse guy - so to not have that happen we'd have to occupy Iraq, that would be really costly, and the people of the country don't like us anyways, they wont want us in their country. We can try to set up a puppet representative democratic goverment, but really that just isn't right, it starts to sound like Britain and India. Though we would get pretty cheap gas if we took em.

I'd rather take the countries with goverments built around their control of oil. When we (and still do) occupied kuwait for their "safety" we got free gas for our entire armoured division. Kuwait's just like that.
