GI:Stock Turbo Converted to 16G

I'm having a shop fab up some tubular t3 flanged, 44 mm ewg manifolds for the ms3 and while i was there the shop owner mentioned that he could convert our stock turbo to a 16G by swapping out the internals and that it would be capable of producing 340 whp. If anyone is interested in trying this lmk, b/c I have two stock cores i could use to make this happen.

Yes $1100 for the stage 1 and $1200 for the stage 2 .

My stage 2 is on shipping right now , i will receive it monday .

Can't wait to take the crap K04 out of my car !

...and replace it with another crap KO4, now modified for $$$? The KO4s teeny shaft is still there, right, its weak stock 1/2 seals are still there, right? These are the fundamental weaknesses of the design.

No , all internal parts is from Garett . BNR keep only the hot side for bolt-on , everything else is from Garett.

Well...that sounds actually useful. Is the shaft diameter increased or left at miniscule? Kind of looks like thicker, then stepped down to teeny.

nevermind its too pricey, i was quoted $650 for a new 16g and $450 for the machine shop work that would need to be done. My manifold's should be ready by the end of this week though.

Ive thought about fabbing up a k04 to mhi evo 3 16g flange adapter. That way i could just clock the turbo, and have to do minimal fabbing after that to make it fit. Yikes the thing is good up to 380 HP, which is nice for some peppy, everyday, around the town driving.
