GI/GB K1 Forged Rods/Wiseco Pistons

Ok, i am trying to get together a list of COMMITTED buyers for this combo! i DONT want people that will say, yeah i am in and i can pay on july 17 2016... i want people that if we can get the price for in the 750-800 range shipped will be ready to pay NOW!! the combo will be for K1 Std length Rods and Wiseco 9:1 compression pistons, i will need to know the bore you need for example.. Std, .10 over .20 over.. ect.. i am trying to get a list of somewhere between 7-10 buyers or more would be great too. the more the better for prices as you all know. Just put in a post if you are in, i will update the first post with a list.

1. Scott, DSTMSP03 (std bore)
2. Jake, JAKEPSHS (std bore)
3. Mat, MADMAT1987 (std bore, 8.5:1 if not much different in price)
4. James, PROBIN94 (std bore, maybe .10 over)

that will be a question i will have to ask the supplier.. it might be a few extra $$ unless they can do it same price..
why are you looking for 8.5:1? how much boost you want to run? this k1 with 9:1 can support about 450 hp

i was just told thats it much safer. up if its goin to be to much i'll just go with 9.1 std bore please. :D

actually its not really.. to be honest it would make you run more boost to compensate for the difference in compression.
9:1 will yield better gains at lower levels of boost. this combo that i am putting together will be ideal for the daily driver protege/msp/p5 fs-de turbo cars. it will give good numbers and be a safe motor to modify!. whats your first name?

Thanks Mat, i put you on the list, i will check on the 8.5:1 for you.. i really think you would be happier with 9:1 compression though.. keep in mind that if you think 9:1 is too much, you can always get a thicker cometic head gasket and it will drop you to more like 8.8:1

hmm really. will i'll just get the 9.1 then. and if i wanna change later then i'll get a thicker head gasket. :) sorry 4 the questions and mucking around

if you can get it down to 7-800 im down. id like std bore but would i need an overbore having a high mileage block?

james, probin94

more than likely not.. have you ever spun a bearing or bent a rod?
and to be honest its probably going to be in the upper 700s to right at 800.. i have found 2 websites that sell each part individually and the 2 combined total $820.. i am wanting to get around $775 shipping and all

ill personally be contacting several vendors, whichever offers the best price is where they will be purchased, PG is an option right now, speed circuit, as well as a few other places i have in mind, i need commited buyers before i contact to get my pricing.

once the vendor is selected, the members of the GB will be instructed to contact that vendor send payment. all i am doing is facilitating this

cool well will have to have some sort of code so the vendor knows that its a special buy. u know. plus can u yes dstmsp :) ship my gear (i'll pay 4 the shipping) as pg and cs cost 600 to ship it :(

I was told by the engine shop that's rebuilding my engine that there isn't much noticeable difference between the two compression ratios since its only about half a compression

the proper way to boost a car is to buy the right parts, not just drop compression.. there is a noticeable difference in 8.5:1. i had them in my car before, but decided i didnt need that much power.. thus why i am downgrading everything to get a better quality daily driver. 9:1 forged internals can yield AMAZING gains with proper tuning and setup.
