Getting a new motor

I was trying to decide on weather I should get a FS-DE or the KL ( I think its the one with the angled intake)

Anyway I found this site that has 30K JDM motors.

My question is, can I buy this motor and still use all my stock parts (ECU, Transmission, and so forth). I believe they only sale the motor itself, they do however sale the transmissions too. I don't know which one to get with the motor.

Also for further information, I did visit the junk yards in my city and all of them want at least $800 for the motor. I figured spend an extra $200 and get one with low miles and shipped to my front door or shop.

Are you just looking at protege engines in the yards? Only reason I ask is when we swapped a new engine in mind we put one in from a 626. Had to swap cam gears but everything else from the old block bolted up.

So even if I got this motor I would need to swap the cam gears out, I'm confused? The question I asked is when I get this motor since it's a JDM can I still use my stock ECU (plus other parts) that I don't know if it can be used with a US to JDM motor? I saw in a post that the ECU acts differently with a JDM engine. I wishing to achieve a basic hoop up, just take out the old motor and replace it with this one with changing anything else out.

If its a regular fsde it should drop in. You may have to swap out cam gears and crank pulley. If its an fsze you're looking at more work.
