I just came of a Sterling Blvd taking a left on to Rt28 going towards Dulles Airport. Next to me at the turn signal was a fly honey in a champagne 2002 Altima 3.5 SE. She gave no indication that she wanted to race. But she was staring at my ride, which my cousin pointed out since he caught her staring. As soon as the light turned green she gave a little chirp and took the left turn....I was like Whaaaaaaaaat......(can't be takin turns like that on me)and took off as well. I took her real bad of the left turn....and gained a good car length or two.....but as soon as we hit the straights, she started gaining fast....but this is the funny thing.....she gained but did not pass me although I know she was kickin a** to get past me....oh yeh, did I mention she was driving stick.We were atleast going 85mph by now and the traffic at the next light was approaching fast....but I did not let up, she backed down...(mann we got some good breaks...I down shifted as well) Too bad she was taking a left turn and I was in the far right. I know she would be like.."Oh I wasn't even racing!"
What suprised me is how the heck did I keep up. I test drove that car before........mann does it take off.

no way in hell a 3.5 Altima will lose to a Protege

She must not have been full on the throttle cause there's no way a 3.5 SE Altima could be beaten by a Protege (stock I'm assuming). BTW, I'm over in the area all the time. I work off of Waxpool Rd.

3.5s have like 110 more hp than we do. If she wanted to kick your ass... tWiZTiEZ or not... you'd be smoked. Without question. P5s pull like .79g's which cant be that far off of an Altima. Dont let the mp3 numbers fool you, our cars aren't quite as nimble.

yeah...good story but sorry i don't think she was pushing it...unfortunately mos v6s wheter we want to admit it or not have some pulling power...especially the altima...she probably wasn't racing either...a lot of people have a tendancy to take off in cars with a lot of power...they just barely tap the gas and it goes...lol...and people have a tendancy to be in a hurry...

I don't quite get what you mean by your comment 'If she wanted' I did say earlier say was trying but my assumption is...she was not that good of a driver. Cuz as much as she caught up due to the shear power of that car, she didn't have the heart to continue past 80mph. As far as twisties....I got her of the first turn. The reason I got the lead, cuz she could not take the turn as well. I drove the 3.5Altima before, I would definetly say it would kill our car in a straight line, but as far as twisties go....No way....I would say the Altima might gain on the short straights and then loose on the sharp turns. I took the Altima on a ramp which I usually go atleast 60mph with my car, felt very flimsy at 45mph almost like I was gonna loose the tail or flip. And another thing, u drive an auto P5...what do u mean>>>our
