Hey everyone. Was trying to hunt down an answer for a buddy with a 2014 Mazda 6 auto with the gated shifter. He was inquiring about why the gears aren't back-lit (D, R, N, etc). I found on a forum that on some of the CX-5s with the same style gated shifter, the shifter backlit LED's weren't plugged in but were available under there. Like you could yank the cover up and plug it in yourself. Does anyone know if this might be true on the 6 as well? I don't want to risk yanking the cover up with him if it's not even a remote possibility.
