Gauges - is the accent as blue as pic shows?

A few of us are wondering if the blue accent trim ring around the gauges are as blue as Mazda shows on its Web site. We know that for the Speed3, the guages looked more blue on the web site due to the way they took the picture.

Here's the pic from the '09 Mazda6 per Mazda's site:

And here's the trickery Speed3 Gauge pic from Mazda's site:

So...you 2009 Mazda6 owners, does it look this blue IRL?

Mine do in pitch black (second pic, not the first).

During the day (with the lights on) not so much.

If I remember in two hours, I'll go out and double-check. Lately I've been blinded by my AVIC-D3 because it doesn't read the dimmer . . .

Wait, the 2nd pic is from the Speed3 though. Wanted to know if your Mazda6 looked like the first pic.

Not quite, it's more faint and not as strong. This is more what it looks like...

Exactly; the 6 looks sort of like the pic (more muted but not as red) of the 3.

ACTUALLY, they look exactly like the promotional shot, but you have to look at them from that angle. It's weird, they get super blue when you look at them from the side.

I have no complaints about them, though I wish instead of a dimmer switch, the brightness control went all the way up to bright instead of having that break between bright and dim . . .

Cool. Thanks for chiming in with the info and pic :)

I am not sure what you mean by the break between bright and dim but if you want fuill brightness, have you tried pressing the switch?
