That is where I installed mine. I made a custom piece to hold the 3 gauges.

(mswerd) that's what I want
No kidding, looks very professional! Concept, you may want to think about making more and selling that piece to members.

You can get a piece similar to that DIN gauge pod from http://http://www.42draftdesigns.com/. The pod is only like $30 shipped or around that. Here is what it looks like in my Protege. Not a MSP but the area is the same around the dash.

Did that fit perfectly ? Is the panel DIN size ? I emailed 42 Design as well. They also offer an aluminum version of your panel. FYI, the one you have is $20, the aluminum is $35 + shipping. I asked if they made a version with 1 or 2 cutouts as well.
Thanks for the link!
Cheers.

you can try emailing the guy at phantasmmotorsport.com, and ask. I had my car there this weekend getting a dual gauge pod and he said he could later hook me up with gauges under stock cd player. He has the stuff to do it.....

How much fun was wiring all those behind the dash? Where did you guys tap in for power/ can you dim them with the dash panel?

i think i am going to put my guages in the cd pocket but what guages do you guys suggest i get brand wise and how much am i lookin on spending?

Does anyone know if there is a dual panel that fits just like the triple panel?

autometer is the cheapest i know, and its pretty decent. get the ultralite series, they match MSP dash pretty good. check out www.jegs.com. thats where i got mine from.

No, but Apex is making the piece that goes around the gauge cluster that holds 2 gauges (1 on each side).

Hmmm..any idea of price, pics or release date?

Ok, i got an e-mail reply from 42 Designs. They only offer the 3 gauge panel (not 1 or 2) in black plastic or aluminum. It is DIN sized.

Mike,The measurements are standard DIN. Measures 7 7/16" x 2 5/16" x 5/16".

The gauge holes measure 2 1/16" in diameter and the recesses measure 2

3/16" in diameter. In metric units the panel measures 187.6mm x 58mm x

7.5mm.

Sorry, only the triple cutout panel is available.

Let me add that car audio places can get blank DIN panels.. You have to do some work *gasp* and make it yourself but it's an option.

Yeah you should get autometer, I got the ultra lite, it matches light almost perfectly. I wish it would've been wired to the lights or something. Cause the gauge light runs 24/7. Kinda wack but whatever.......

please dont rip on me for not knowing this but why does the numbers go up to say 20 and then from 0 down to 20 on a boost guage (both directions) ????

Vacuum to the left, boost to the right. You can get the gauges with boost only if you want.
