gauge pods

I got bored today(dead week) and made some guage pods today. I used an acrylic sheet, 2x PVC 90 degree straight couplers, bondo, primer, paint, and tools. The process was very time consuming but I saved myself quite a bit of time on the 90 degree straight couplers. Fortunately, i had a mouse and a dremel so that made sanding alot easier, even though there was alot of sanding and shaping. The entire process took a while but now being able to look back on the entire project i think bondo is some fun stuff.

here's two crappy pictures i took with my cell phone(my d.camera is broken @ the moment). I'm only going to use one pod @ the moment and right now I'm at a crossroads. (by the way I have the wire for the gauge completed inside the car) I could use bondo, sand paper and paint/primer to blend the pod into the middle dash(best looking way), mount by drilling black screws(+'s very quick, nice looking, -'s acrylic might crack when trying to drill, holes, permenant) and finally, some sealant that is capable of being removed by a solvent.
