Premium or Regular gasoline?
Can't remember where, but I read that using Premium (high octane) gasoline in a regular non modified engine MAY damage it and shorten its "life".
For the past 10 years I've kept track of Fuel Mileage in my cars, and I found that premium fuel DOES make a difference (more guts, better mileage and no more knocks), but I'm not a racer and I don't drive at 90mph all day (I'm usually aroud 70mph) and my 1990 Honda Civic Si's engine was a goner at only 155000miles (that engine should have lasted almost twice with the kind of care I was giving it). So was premium gasoline the guilty parameter?
Anyway, for the past 3 years now I've ONLY used regular gas and it is sufficient, plus it is cheaper : I fueld my P5 last night and it cost me $39.10!!!!! I paid 79.9cents per liter, that's $3.024 per US gallon...it was even more expensive in Montreal at 81.9cents per liter.
