That might work...but it will be a let down to get in a go-kart after driving a miata around an auto-cross course all morning.

Iknow, it was just a thought, I am just trying to keep my long hauls to a minimum. I have to pick up my daughter at college beginning of aug., then zoom-zoom, then following weekend is an enduro race at NH then I have to bring the child back to school(framingham)

I can make just about anytime. Going from a gokart to a Miata would be a let down.....but then again I have the miata to drive home too

you mean from a MS6 TO a gokart? I dunno if it would really be a let down...it's not like they're even really compareable...also, 40 mph in a gokart feels WAY faster than 40mph in a miata / 6 / whatever else they let us flog around.

On a side note, hopefully I won't get warned for looping a car this time

If you go to www.break.com there is a video titled the world's luckiest unlucky guy or something like that. He goes sky diving for the first time with instructors and his chute just rips right off him when it is deployed. He manages to pull his spare chute but the video continues. He ends up running into power lines and scarring his legs and hands...but he survives. Needless to say that was his first and last sky diving attempt.
