Fun first day in my 3

Well instead of being a 3-less lurker, I have joined the ranks of ownership as of yesterday.

As I was driving away from the dealer, I got paranoid and thought I encountered my first problem. My left speakers kept cutting out. Of course, it took me about 2 minutes to listen closer and hear the navigation lady talking...*whew*....now if I could just get her to shut up (why'd someone have to program in a destination??)! Have to have a sit down with the manual today :)

Found out that yes, all my ice hockey goalie equipment fits in the trunk. This is a plus :)

...and the best part, driving home at the end of the night, I managed to join the few & proud that got a speeding ticket on their first day of ownership. Yeah, my sense of speed is still adjusting. Unfortunately the officer wasn't sympathetic enough to let me go scot-free, but he did bump it down from a 48 in a 30 to 45 in a 30. Ah, well...I think I should be able to take the class and strike it from my record, but we'll see.

Thought you guys would like that. *smacks forehead*

Congrat and that sucks all at the same time...

What a buzz kill. I bet you were like "WTF, I don't care. Did you see my new car" LOL

Seriously, congrats on the car man. The fun has just begun. Just watch for the police.

Ditto.

Good news is, looks like I'll be eligible for the class.

Bad news is, these days its $75 and lasts 8 hours instead of 4.

Yeah...I get paranoid and worry about things somewhat, but not as much as some of the people here on the board. I've got a fair level of acceptance when it comes to minor issues :) I still haven't seen any convincing evidence of these trannies/clutches/engines having any widespread crappiness. I'm sure I'll get pissed about the little things over time, but as long as the major drivetrain components are good, my sanity and joy should remain.
