well for the first time i finally got the km remaining to go to 0. I wanted to see how much fuel would actually be left in case of a real emergency. So from the time the gauge said 8km to 0 was only about 2 km it just started to drop like a rock. Then it stayed at 0 instead of going into the negatives 
So i drove maybe 3 km after it hit 0 and filled er up and was 5 L short. Thats about a gallon and a half.
Just thought i would let you know my experiance so that it might help one of you out one day if you run out.
