i used the search button, yes. but my question is, you guys that have the fuel cut issue, does it happen at different rpm's in the same gear? or just once at higher rpm's? becuase ive been experiencing it several times per gear, starting at 3-3500rpm and then maybe again at 4 and then again at 5500rpms its quite aggrivating. is this the normal fuel cut? what would you intially think my problem is?

I would take the heat shield off and check if your turbo manifold is crack. It can possibly be, When it hit a certain psi it leaks out bad, And can causes fuel cut and hesitation like problem.

Why do you guys always want to tune away the fuel cut, it's cutting to protect the engine. If it sees excess boost or airflow it will cut. I'd first try to find if there are any leaks in the intake system, then maybe relocate the MAF if there are no issues. I've been running at 10psi for a while and now with a huge turbo 8psi. It is rare that I hit any fuel cut and I had been running it like that on a stock ECU, not always but for a while before I stopped driving it.

Is that towards me? Turbonetics T3-60 4" inlet. Definately not for the weak of turbo lag. LOL it's just a fun loud turbo.

sorry for the delay ive been so busy, but its stock boost and stock turbo. stock everything. its in the shop and it sbeen there almost four weeks. (2 different shops) one at the dealership i bought it from, koons used car lot, and then they sent it to the mazda shop who apparently has no idea what they're dealing with because they've had it for two weeks and have made no progress.

yeah was just wondering cuz im thinking of a new turbo maybe gt28r is that a good plan?

Well I would think its a vacuum leakn on the intake manifold but surely one of the shops would have found that its not very hard to find a ripped or broken line but my car has done similar things to that but it was more of a big studder when it was a vacuum line and usually when i was hitting a hard fuel cut and it would jerk really bad was cooler days with the boost turned up. If you have a leak on the vacuum line from the waste gate actuator to the manifold that would cause over boosting then fuel cut.

do you have the maf relocation? my boyfriend put that on my car and I havent fouled a plug or hit fuel cut for over a year and I've been running 10psi... it helped tremendously...

no i havent done that but if they fix the problem or even if they dont then ill probably relocate it and probably fix the problem myself

yea I would relocate I have been running 8.5 psi for a couple years and have not had an issue.question at what point do you try to hit boost?

this happens to me under normal load and normal driving circumstance's. im not trying to make it happen. but its just when im driving.

problem fixed, back from the shop. the wga was bad. took them 5 weeks to figure that out. even though i told them within the first week that i wanted that checked. regardless it was a free fix for me and now i have my car back.

congrats on the easy fix. sorry it took so long.. shop/mechanics can be jackasses when it comes to suggestions
