Hey guys, I have a 2003.5 Blue MSP and mods are as follows:
Stock turbo is at 8-9psi
FMIC
boost controller
forge wastegate
injen intake
mazda 626 intake manifold
hayame catback
split second ssafc
3 inch downpipe
mishimoto radiator
cusco oil catch can

This is the first day ive ever had problems with fuel cut. It was tuned on ssafc by the previous owner but out of nowhere today it wants to fuel cut with ANY boost pressure starting at 1psi (so instantly cutting). its so bad I cant drive in city. I turned the controller down to 5psi and it doesnt matter, instant cut at 1psi. why would this be happening? any help is greatly appreciated, thanks guys. -Alex

It's actually really freaking odd that I'm having the same exact problem, and it started this week also.

I'll elaborate though.

My car hiccuped. Driving along, 40mph in 5th, WHOA random misfire and no acceleration. Let off the gas, boom its back to diving normal again. A few seconds later the CEL came on for "Random Misfire"

Drove it for the rest of the night and it went out, ended up at a buddies place and used his code scanner several hours after it happened.

Did this one other time, a few days later. No CEL the second time.

Now its DEFINITELY fuel cutting under boost. Not all the time either. Sometimes it rips and the AFR slowly creeps rich until it fuel cuts. I.e. 2000-4500 rpms, 5ish psi, AFR hitting 9.0 as soon as it sees boost, and then slowly creeping to 8.8 or 8.6 before it boost cuts. Sometimes it dumps below 9.0 as soon as it sees boost and fuel cuts. Sometimes it stutters like a missfire, like its breaking apart instead of full boost cut.

Two nights ago I cleaned the crank pos sensor because it was kind of dirty, replaced both coil packs, tightened the plug gap to around .030 (they were closer to .044), but the plugs have MAYBE 4k miles on them. I also checked for boost leaks.

Mods list:
Forged block, ARPs, Cometic
stock gt2554r
Injen intake
FMIC, HKS SSQV
Vibrant turbo back
LC-1 wideband (brand new sensor, maybe 400 miles on it)
HKS turbo timer
N2mb WOT Box
SSAFC (I dropped the supper stock map on this, however I'm not sure its internal MAP sensor is reading right. I dont have a windows xp laptop that will survive off AC power, so i flashed it with an extension cord and can not monitor the SSAFC while driving. I can however log my wideband with my Win7 netbook)

change your coil packs. they may be getting weak. its harder to produce a spark with the extra pressure in the chamber.

It seems i may have found my problem. My crank case 1way valve has gone bad and the way my catch can was routed, it was sucking oil right out of the motor under boost and taking it all the way back around through the engine. I literally took my maf off to check if it needed cleaning and oil bled out of it and all the piping all over everything, i was down 2 quarts in a week. Currently im taking all the piping out and hosing it all down and routed my catch can to atmosphere
