My bet is the hood is OEM with a custom scoop. And you need proper pics or your thread will be closed.

there are a lot of people with big ol' chubbies for WRX-style hoods. theyre hard to find.

Last place they were available was Ebay...I havent seen one for a long time now.

I saw one on eBay a few months ago and should have bough it. The guy wanted like $350 for it. Brand new and unpainted. Oh well... I want to say SLS made that hood and if that's the one, then yeah the scoop is functional. Looks nice if you ask me. Sorry OP, thread jack over! GLWS.

Let me offer you some advice. Buy a Saab 92x Aero instead. Cheaper to buy, cheaper to insure, and interchangable parts from the WRX for the same years. WRX is terribly expensive to insure, especially for young guys. GLWS
