Front license plate delete kit

Have a couple of '09 Mazda5s we're considering, but both have a front license plate. We don't require front license plates here in FL and I'm not crazy about sticking a vanity plate up front. How ugly are the holes if you were to remove the license plate holder/bracket? Can you stick a couple of plugs and call it a day or does the plastic stick out from the screws? Any other solutions or are we stuck with it unless a bumper is replaced?

My advice is to take it out and see what's there. Then you can figure out what to do, plugs maybe?

if the dealer installed the frame correctly, there should only be two holes in the upper grill bar. replace the grill, and no more holes. just make sure you check it out before you buy. OR, ask the dealer to replace the grill and you'll make a deal!

I wish. It's being sold at a Nissan dealer, so I doubt replacing the upper bar and grill would be an option. I will have them take off the front license plate bracket though to see what's left behind.

Yeah, two small holes will be what's there. Plug them up with some black RTV or a plastic clip, and call it good. You'll be the only one to ever notice, unless you are showing your 5 at meets regularly.
