2008 Speed3
Hello to all. I just recently became a member to this forum.

I bought my 08 ms3 early on in june this year. It's black mica. I haven't had the time or money to mod anything yet. Only wash it a couple of times and take off all the dealership decals. I might take off the mazdaspeed badge next or maybe the door bumpers to make it look a little sleeker.

Can anyone suggest any cheep or free mods I can do on my own or with a little help from a friend?

Welcom and yes do remove the mazdaspeed3 badge. Car looks better with out it IMO. It also keeps people guessing.

Yeah, when I bought this it didn't have the 3 next to the mazdaspeed badge and people have been bugging me all the time to figure out what kind of car i drive.

LED interior and tag light bulbs. $25
Shifter bushings. $20
Painted brake calipers. $10
Independent fog light mod. FREE
Side molding delete. FREE
Air box mod. FREE

Check the sale sections of the three major forums daily. You can get some very good deals on used parts. If you do find a great deal buy it quickly because the parts that are listed at good prices are scooped up fast. Start with an intake, any intake will add 20 HP vs the stock air box.

What did you you use that was $10 bucks to paint the calipers? Did you rattle can them?

Still looks good. I went black with silver Mazdaspeed decals. It's not very visible with the stock wheels though. It is a BIG improvment over the stock look.

Thanks Cosmic. I'll mos def keep an eye out for parts when i can. Also, does anyone know if the "flying m" emblem is bolted or screwed into place or is it just adhered on there like everything else?

rear M is held in with 2 clips. dont take it off unless your gonna cut it and put it back

if you're fat you can lose some weight to help with the lb/hp ratio. i was 260 this spring and now im 200 even. i think that took about 5 tenths off my 0-60 times

yea right
