maybe. picture with no hair.
But that is a fox, not a coyote. And foxes are soooooooo damn small, I doubt it highly that the mystery animal (the one that looks like a hyena) is a fox. But the one you pictured above (the one shot in Texas) could very well be a fox, but it could also be a hairless fawn for that matter.

it does look fawn like too. hard to tell without knowing the actual size. for sure the "mystery" animal is not a fox. that would be one jacked up mutated fox.

why do they keep calling it a 'Beast'?
from dictionary.com
  1. <LI type=a>An animal other than a human, especially a large four-footed mammal.
  2. New England & Southern U.S. A large domestic animal, especially a horse or bull.
  3. Animal nature as opposed to intellect or spirit: So far the beast in us has insisted upon having its full say (William Dean Howells).
  4. A brutal, contemptible person.
Looks to me like some dog fighter's project gone awry as he was trying to make a new breed of dog by crossing it with a hyena...

As far as I know you can't cross breed hyena's. They are a strange breed, they are not feline or canine. They can only reproduce with other hyenas.

Hyenas are a family of their own, the Hyaenidae. They're more closely related to cats than dogs, but their closest relatives are the Herpestidae -- mongooses, meerkats and such.

what? hyenas could get jungle fever.......(boom08)

GI ..??? i was loving the comparrison you did at first showing the coyote, mystery then hyena but this one here ... there is no way it could even be a coyote.. hehe .. look at its front legs .. they are much shorter and the joint placement resembles a part of the rodent family ... its almost like a ny city sewer ratt that mated with a kangaroo LMAO .. and its face gives even more detail of a rodent type animal ..im still stumped but i know this ... both of these creatures have got to be the ugliest sons of bitches i have ever seen .. if I was in the woods and came up on that i think i would gag before i could shoot it .. lol ... hey one more thing .. i was just reading about this Boar killed down south that was called boarzilla .. over 1000 lbs and over 12 feet long .. with tusks over 9 inches long? I will post this pic as soon as I can find it again .. i think it was choped but who knows

Is this the animal you think is a coyote, because I might be inclined to agree with you on this creature. This is the animal that was shot in Texas and I know for a fact that there are a shitload of coyotes in Texas. This one looks like a coyote with a complete lack of hair:

I would shoot it. I dont think it looks like the Coyotes I see out in my field. But I guess they are different all over the place.

In NH you can shoot a coyote in any season with any kind of firearm you choose.

Yeah, apparently the locals named it Hogzilla, but it all smells like bulls*** to me. You can read the whole story here:

The biggest problem I have with this photo, is that it doesn't show proper depth perspective. That dude could be standing 15 feet back from the hog and therefore make it look much larger than it is. Another problem I have with this story, is that the guy claims to have buried it, and only has this picture to prove it. I mean c'mon, any hunter would know to register something that big with the local game warden or DNR to verify if is some kind of record or whatnot. I hate to be so sceptical, but I will throw up the BS flag with this story!

right, i shot the biggest boar ever, quick, let's bury it! that photo is so fake. what is the hog hanging from? they're in a big clearing, and a 1000 lb hog would need a decent sized structure to hold it. and if that guy is close to the hog, and it was 12' big, that would make that guy like 10' tall cause he's almost as big as the hog. oh yea, and there is the whole that hog looks photoshopped part

actually..that plantation is known for big hogs..i've actually been out hog hunting before when I lived in georgia...they have a big problem down there with that..and btw..its not uncommon to see 500-600lb hogs being taken down..can't eat the meat, but they need to be taken down..so you bury them..and why on earth would anyone mount a fat ass hog head on their wall? Its not like they have to register them like they do with deer..

I know hogs get that big, I took a 545lb Russian Boar about a year ago, and I had it mounted (it made quite an impressive mount and an equally impressive hole in my wallet). But a 1000lb hog that is a potential world record doesn't just get buried the same day or next morning. If anything, they could take a shitload of pictures of it and use it for advertising to lure more hunters to pay top dollar at a chance to kill world record hogs on their ranch. Furthermore, this is the only picture of it? Even if you were to bury it, why would you just take one picture?

we need decent pictures lol. looks liek a small ass horse, mixed with hyena (how ever the **** u spell it),

that creature looks like a hayeena, but hayena has all 4 legs with same length. This creature on the other hand has front two shorter than back two. Definetly not hayena. s*** I dunno wtf is that, but good thing it got shot, although, would be sweet for scientists if it would be alive. Good thing that Texan shot him, I would do that too if I didnt know wtf Im dealing with.

From what I know Hyenas are 'A sexual' meaning they are hermaphrodytes- having both male and female genailia. They should see if they can zoom in on it's garbage and see if it has a cock'n'balls AND a pink taco... hehe then you'd know for sure it was a hyena.
