Found a unicorn?

Hey everyone. New to the forum, but long time Mazda enthusiast. Back in 1990, my parents purchased a new Mazda 626 DX. I was eight at the time, and for some reason infatuated with the car. "Fuel injection? Wow, this is from the future!" That day we took it home along with a 626 brochure. Then I stumbled across the GT model. My mind was blown that there was a turbo option. Once I turned 16, the DX was now mine and drove it through college. That was seriously the best vehicle my parents ever owned. Crazy reliable, light and zippy. Since then, I have been searching for one. Man are these things tough to find in decent condition. But I finally found one and am pretty excited. The car is an 88 626 Touring Turbo 5-speed with 162k on it. It's been owned by the same guy it's whole life. So I decided to pull the trigger. A bit nervous as it's my first car purchase on Ebay, but NOT my first car purchased sight unseen. Hope to follow up with good news once it arrives. Cheers!

Nice car. Always liked the 626 hatch. I drove a 90 626 sedan DX for about 25 years, and now very happy to have my 89 MX-6. It was very reliable. Those wheels look like its from a 4 wheel steering 626.

I was thinking the same thing on the wheels... the 4WS version came with those... (wiggle)

They are fun, solid, and technologically advanced cars for their time...

Hoping for an update soon! (nervous)
