Hey my friend told me to remove the recirculating line and plug it with those metal plugs so it sounds louder, i know the car runs better when it is recirculated but i was just wondering what if i wanted to try vta with the forge. Any thoughts?

PS Sorry if this topic has been brought up before

yeah....let us know the outcome. :D

No. No. No!

A forge BPV is in no way designed to work VTA. It's loud enough as it is in recirc... and the car runs better. Don't do this.

I would assume the forge stays open on idle. So you'll have a lean idle, rich between shifts with backfiring, and the car will stall when you shift unless you are quick. The only bpv that works vented with little problem is the hks ssqv and I assume the synapse synchronic because it is a pull type as well. Easy solution just recirculate and use a forge, type-s, or possibly a hks ssqv. The ssqv does add some sound. The throttle response from it is more of a joy for me.

The BPV is closed at idle. But still the car won't like it. As crazy as it sound though I have a friend with a big turbo saab that has been running like that for about 2 years now. The main difference between the Saabs and our cars is that we have a MAF and they have MAP sensor. Cars with MAP sensors run VTA blow off valves more successfully.

Your friend is a retard. Tell him you will do it only if he jumps out the window of your car when your going 80MPH. If you want a louder noise run the tailpipe into the cabin. That should be loud enough for ya.(squinty)

And we wonder why these cars blow up more then most.
