Just got mine today... but I have never installed one nor owned a car that could use one. So, that being said. Can anyone semi-explain what I need to do please? I have 2 springs, one red and one blue, and 2 metal discs approx. 1.5" in diameter. I know it pretty much just bolts on replacing the factory one. What are the extra springs/discs for? Thanks guys!

The springs are rated for different psi's. Im pretty sure the red one (stiffer one) is rated for higher Psi's around 22psi. Blue is 10-16 or so.

You have a Yellow spring already installed. I would take out the spring by unscrewing the top portion of the valve. Replace the spring with the blue one. Reinstall. Then drive and have fun.

Im happyh with mine but my friends pick at me cuz they say it sounds like someone hitting a nail with a hammer and they think its soo funny.

sounds good what is the difference with the springs and will the bpv work with stock intake for a few weeks

I just installed my Forge bpv yesterday.

I don't have my CAI yet (protege garage is back ordered), but I can hear it (barely) with the stock intake. Sounds like a short, quick whistle. But I only hear it when I'm pushing "kinda" hard.

With the CAI you get the short whistle when you go up to 3k rpms quick (not really pushing it too much), if you push harder and go up to like 5-6k rpms it's a lot louder.

Sounds nice!

I still don't have mine. I'm about ready to ask protege garage for a refund. Anyone else have one "lost in shipping"?? Not that I don't believe Ken, but it's been almost a month. Eh..

mine was lost but finaly got a different one today. i installed in my ms6 but it has a loud clang/ting noise. i greased it up and when i put no shims in it clangs, one at bottom and a clang, one at top and it flutters, didn't try two at same time.
