Okay Ive heard that some of these stall our cars but they made an adjustment to them,,,, I was wondering if they fixed the stalling problem and if its worth my $$$ to buy one....plus does it give off an actual BOV sound, cause Ive heard that its quiet and that the turkey over powers it... just let me know thanks guys

The Injen WILL amplify the turkey from what I've heard. I have the stock airbox & have no turkey & the exact BOV sound I wanted (it's quite loud on cold nights). I wasn't aware of Forge modifying the BOV in regards to the stalling at all, but IMO there is really no need. As long as you downshift when you drive & don't rev up high & immediately go into neutral, you won't stall.

um no stall...and we tested that out at forge. I couldnt make it stall out. Just takes about a week for your car to get use to it. maybe some RPM drop but thats about it. Aslong as you dont shift into neutral at a high RPM your good to go. I've been running it for awhile...when it 1st came out.

Injen + Forge BOV
What exactly do you mean rev high and drop into neutral....like 6500 prm shifts or what I really dont know what you guys are talknig about...... Or driving like 90 and slamming in the clutch .... Please explain

If you want the non-gobble loud BOV sound put one hard pipe on the I/C to turbo. I did this when I had my forge BOV and it was awesome, no turkey at all... NOTHING AT ALL! Just one big loud woosh, I miss it. But on to bigger and better things. Anyway, I never stalled my car once, even at Protegefest when doing a rolling burnout then putting car into neutral and hitting brake, no stall, just a nice loud exhaust then a big woosh as I pulled up to the stagging lights... My friend at the time said it sounded cool as hell. anyway, don't think this helps but thought I would let you know that mine never stalled.

It doesnt stall any more but when I 1st got the BOV I did this. Say you are comming to a red light and you are at a high RPM lets say 5000-6000. I would let it cruise or put on the breaks while still in gear. when the RPMs are low lets say under 3000 rpm I shift into neautral and everything is fine. What I mean is dont shift into neautral while your at 6800 or redline. But this was when I 1st got the BOV. It doe3snt happen anymore. Now I shift into neutral at a high RPM (like the day I tried to stall the BOV) wouldnt happen...just droped down to really low like below 600 on the verge of stalling and gets back up to a normal idle at 800-900 rpm.

Its not a problem at all.

I HAVE A FORGE BOV FOR SALE (SILVER, KIT)

It does not stall, and it is quite loud.

I obtained it two weeks ago from another member on this board. I just ordered my Hiboost FMIC and will be obtaining a GReddy Type-S and will no longer need it.

$130.00 SHIPPED

i use a recirculating turbosmart valve no turkey, no stall .
The turkey doesnt bother me I actually like it.... I just wanted to hear the pros and cons of the Forge BOV and if its worth the money, and if it performs as well as stated.

I bought this setup. It was exactly what I wanted. Nice loud bOV sound and no stalling at all. I also have an injen CAI and there is no turkey. Car runs great and I have never once stalled it, but the rpm's did drop down a bit. I say buy it.

Thejohnny- Thanks again.

Who has just 1 hardpipe for sale? I don't want to spend $500 to get a BOV sound.

A forge one might just be the ticket.

You don't need hardpipes to use the Forge BOV.

so, the forge replaces the stock one? on the plastic pipes? how well does it handel 15psi? and with intake, if you do slam from 6k into N, do you get turkey?

I've had my hiboost fmic installed for a little bit now and never stalled, so i'm pretty satisfied w/ the end result. The only thing i'm not too fond of is that turkey. It sounds too wierd to me and I yearn for the psssssst sound i've always dreamt about. Does any one that has this kit have the cure to turkey fever? Will the type s help reduce the gobble gobble? What should I do? TheJonny do you have this kit?

I have almost stalled a few times with my forge bov. BUT it has never really just cut out. You do have to downshift instead of cruising to neutral which I miss cause I'm lazy when it comes to driving stick. However, I have noticed some hesitation since putting it on. Not quite the response I wanted, but still have a bit of chirping and then a quiet whish at the end. When it spools up, you also hear a moaning type noise which I can't quite figure out... I just figure it's the bov. I have a Spool CAI, 3" catless DP, JoeP MBC and the Forge BOV. I'm sure if I change to hardpipes, I'm going to get an even MORE different sound. I've been thinking of changing to the Greddy type-S or another brand, havent decided just yet. The other BOV is sitting at the house.

The springs are interchangable for how much boost you plan to boost. Of course we have the softest spring since we only run like 6 psi. I would call tom or mike and ask. They are very helpful. I remember reading SCC EVO challenge...the best tuned EVOs. And the Vishnu EVO was using a Forge BOV...so its quality stuff. I think the valve is pretty similar in design to ours since EVOs have MAFs too...not bad for a car thats spitting out 500-600 hp.

Yes they work on stock piping...took tom like a few minutes to put mine in.
