Hey guys, I installed my bov that I just bought from a forum member. I can't hear a thing, no difference at all. Am I just an an idiot or is there no notorius "swoosh" sound unless i upgrade to hardpipes and a cai?

I read that a lot of people have success with the green spring. Heres a few shots of the install, just in case I screwed up.

i cant really tell from the pics but do you have a seperate line for the BOV and the wastegate? you definately want to run 2 quality lines one from the brake booster line T from close to the IM(this is generally the strongest boost/vac source just put your T in the line close to the IM as there is a one way valve in the Line to the brake booster that you want to be on the IM side of ), one from the stock IM nipple but regardless I never really got alot of noise with the stock plastic pipe and intercooler. also after tightening it on the stock piece and taking it on/off many time the stock pipe becomes damaged over time and may crimple/warp where you mount it.

If you want good driveability and good sound with the stock Intercooler you may want to look into getting a set of hard pipes made and relocate the MAF to the cold side. Place the BOV on the hot pipe or the cold pipe before the MAF. There are a few aftermarket pipes or you can always spend around $100 buying piping and couplers off ebay. If you have a local source for silicone couplings and T bolt clamps you could also have a local muffler shop weld up a set for you. Just pull the stock pipes off in the parking lot and have the shop duplicate them for you.

PM SCMP3...it was previously installed on his car...IIRC though, it was fairly quite on there as well...

You won't get your typical BOV sound with this one, you need hardpipes and a real BOV.

i had it in my car for like a month. you can usually hear something when you hit full boost.

I have a Forge BPV with the stock intake and pipes and there is a very noticeable turkey call.
