Forced Induction + Handleing = ?

I love the way my protege handles right now. I just wish i had a little more power. I'm looking for around 200 to the wheel. How does the protege handle with this extra power? I assume the wheels tend to spin more = more understeer. I think a lsd would help this. Right now when i mountain drive my motor lives at high rpm. Top of second and third gear. Is it bad to keep the rpms high in a turbo'd fsde? The last thing i want is to blow my motor. Would a supercharger do better for my style of driving. Just trying to get some feedback from the people who have done it. Thanks.

I took my car out last week for awhile on some backroads. Wanted to see how the combination of coilovers and forced induction would work together. It was amazing how I could power through all the turns. I didn't have much wheel spin and was making 200whp+. As for the RPM question. Just with any motor, if you push it hard for a extended period of time you are raising your risk of problems, but the occasional spirited driving isn't going to be enough to blow your motor.

Remember that high rpms means more stress, also too low of rpms is stressing, peak torque is where the engine is happy to work on.

Make it turbo and you will not need to go high on rpms, you will have plenty of torque.
