For sale section suggestion

Is there anyway that a private regional for sale section can be setup? On another forum that I belong, they have it, and it works well. It benefits people that have items to sell, but either don't have means to ship it, or they just want to have a face to face transaction to limit any possible problems.

you can post f/s threads in your regional section now. As it is, having a seperate forum for each regional section for for sale items would be a bit much especially since they would most likely hardly get posted in.

If you do make a f/s thread in your region, just remmeber it must follow the same f/s rules as anywhere else on the forums...

its best really to sell you items in a regional mazda club forum. pretty much every region has its own anyway...

like for me, i have MOCC. mazda owners club of california. arizona i know has AZMC, i know theres many others as well...

actually, not to contradict you, but there is a (not well enforced) rule that states:

5. Placing personal items for sale is allowed only in the For Sale / Group Buy (Non-Vendors) forum. All items put up for sale must follow the forum's For Sale Rules and Guidelines.

So basically I shouldn't try to sell in the regional section. That leads me back to my suggestion of having regional for sale sections.

I was just pointing out the rule. It's not currently enforced, but it's there.

ANd it could easily be changed....Because obviously ..If the rules are foolowed..there is no harm in listing an item in a local section.

SO why not find a way to better word that particular rule and Make the required changes?

In my opinion there are good reasons to limit FS sales to the marketplace. We just need to be consistent about enforcement. Either we enforce it or we don't. And if not, perhaps a revision is in order. Thanks for the input.
