Nonsense. But I would like to point out this user I am quoting JUST signed up to post that comment. I know who he is and he is on ebay harrassing me wanting my car and I will not sell it to him so he is in the forum to deter people. He has been reported as well.

Instead of posting ad hominem attacks you should probably tell people the truth.

"A rebuilt vehicle is a salvage vehicle that has been repaired and restored to operation. These vehicles are often damaged before they are rebuilt and new parts are typically used during reconstruction. In most states, an inspection of the vehicle is required before the vehicle is allowed to return to the road, to prove that it is road worthy."

The form you posted in the auction proves that. It is specifically a rebuilt from salvage form. The car was totalled and salvaged. See chapter 5. You don't get a rebuilt title unless a car is SALVAGED. Here is a link to the newest form (updated '06) that the shop should've used if they are legit and the form is actually genuine. Yours is the older '03 version.

You reported me for telling the truth? Either you're lying to deceive or you're lying out of negligence because you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. Because you stand to profit from the lie I'd wager it's due to the former.

You reported me for telling the truth?

Tyler, youre NOT getting the car so you can give up your efforts. If it wasnt legit I would not have been able to register it. Your account will not be up for long as you have been reported for trying to mislead people.

I'd post your real name but I'm not a tool, I don't want the car anymore, I would never buy a rebuilt salvaged car from someone who is so dishonest. You would look better if you actually tried to refute my claims (which are adequately cited by authority) instead of just saying I'm a new user.

The fact that you were able to register it proves nothing. That has no bearing on whether it was totalled or not. It has a rebuilt title which means it was totalled and given a salvage title at some point. You can buy a car with a salvage title, repair it, get it inspected, get a rebuilt title, and register it and be able to drive it on the road. That's what happened to your car whether you realize it or not. I would be surprised if it you get more than 12k for this.

The fact you firmly insist in your auction that it wasn't totalled is a huge red flag for anyone who knows anything about rebuilt cars.

I think how that works depends on the state. my S-10 got a "previous salvage" after I got the rebuild signed off on.

Mine was not totalled and carfax confirms this. My title says "Rebuilt - Prior collision"

The airbags DID NOT deploy, there was not 75% value damage to be totalled. The insurance company bought it and sold it because it was cheaper for them to do that than pay for repairs. Plain and simple, tons of insurance companies do it daily.

Disregard this other clowns claims as he is upset I denied him a sale.

(screwy)

Can you post up the carfax please? resolve this once and for all.

the only problem I have with what you're saying is that the definition of "totaled" is when a vehicle is cheaper to replace than to repair... which is basically what you're semantically differentiating. As for what actually happened, I don't give a damn, Just hope that any potential buyers make sure they get a carfax so there are NO questions.

You failed to mention what I told you over the phone. The value did NOT exceed 75% of the cars value. It MUST exceed 75% to be considered totalled. You acknowledged that and its as clear as day what youre trying to do here. People arent as stupid as you wish they were. I'll post my real name in here for you, Jarrod. Oh no not my name!

Please post a link that confirms that? You can insist that the car was not "totalled" but CA issued a salvage certificate for this car if you look at the CARFAX.

This means it was either a:
Total Loss Salvage Vehicle (VC 544)[/url]
A vehicle that has been wrecked, destroyed, or damaged to the extent that the owner or insurance company considers it uneconomical to repair and, because of this, the vehicle is not repaired for the owner. CA DMV

That is the definition of totalled. You can insist it wasn't "totalled" in your opinion but legally it has been. I don't know how to be more clear to you.

Can you post up the carfax please?

HAHAHAA, I love how you edited out the rest of what I said. Which was:

thats a totaled vehicle which has been rebuilt. Thats EXACTLY what my S-10 carfax looked like. I got it from MN so it had the same steps from moving it to WI... It was only about 2500 in damage given that I didn't do the finish body work.. but a salvaged vehicle with that carfax was TOTALED. End of story.

But a buyer has no way of knowing what damage actually occurred? The carfax would show that no matter whether the damage was minor or was totalled. A buyer has to purely trust the seller especially when they disclaim all warranties. The only documentation he has produced is the incomplete version of an outdated form.

edit: I could still win the auction and you'd be forced to tell it to me. Boy, wouldn't that be fun.
