Yeah, that's its only downfall. Even with 559hp, only 327ftlbs of torque. HOw gay is that? It's because of that short stroke it's got.

Yeah, an intake might add 1 or 2 hp if you are lucky. And that can be attributed to dyno error. The only mods that add hp to the S2000 is a single outlet exhaust and the VAFC. And together they will only add about 5 to 9hp.

Damn I need a supercharger.

Hey Terry, have you been to the S2KI site lately? Have you seen my new discovery about the rear end gears? Well, to make a long story short, people have been paying near $1000 for them, then they dropped to $600. Now I have found out that they are a Mazda design and they can be had for $300 and lower.

We are working out a deal with a guy in Austrailia to get the 4.625's for about $299. He's giving me the first set at cost since I discovered this.(nana)

Yeah!!! kudos on that man, I read the whole thread. So what will the gears retail for. My S is no longer FI. I did not really like the turbo on that car. Plus the damn motor is so detonation prone because of the the compression....so I will be needing these gears.
are they hard to install?

Yeah the wheels are nice but the damn tires last like 5000 miles and cost $$$

The 4.625's will start at $299. If Rick drops his prices of the 4.77's, then Muz and Rick will probably start having price wars getting lower and lower. The gears arent an easy install. If you can install a turbo kit, you can install the gears with the Helms manual. But it's still not easy even with the Helms manual. There's a guy here in Dallas that is going to help me install mine. He's done it on his S2000 and all his friends cars too.

And yeah, the guy in the vid is a moron. Driving the s*** out of the car that mommy and daddy bought for him. But he can drag race! The S2000 sucks as a drag car though. But it destroys corners!

I really don't have any pics. The only ting I've done so far is add a carbon fiber OEM style front lip, lower with KG/MM Race springs(1.35"), carbon fiber air stuffer, and the McGyver Aeroscreen lights.(my riceboy mod)

I still plan on a dual Spugen exhaust, 4.625 diff gears, CF hood and trunk, 17 or 18" wheels, Vortec S/C,...god, the list goes on.

And I still like the MP3. It is one of the best handling cars I have ever driven. It even out does the S in some areas. The MP3's precise steering feel is far beyond that of the S2000. Now after the S2000 is lowered with stiffer springs, it's near that same feel of the MP3.

And turbo MP3's kick major ass. But it just needs rods that are stronger than dry strings of spaghetti.

And, I believe I was like the 3rd, 4th or 5th turbo MP3. The first in TX, I think. It was either me or the guy that Corky Bell built the turbo kit for.

I dont' worry about idots like this guy though. You come on a forum with anything other than the car that it is made for and the newb's think you are a troll. (rofl)

When I was in the Army I could take apart and put together my M16. Does it meant I know how to build one and troubleshoot it if something went wrong. No. Now go back and start putting those wheels on. That's probably all they let you do anyway.
