Sup guys...I don't know if this has been posted already but I literally just got my SCC mag in the mail and now I'm posting about it. It looks like a juicy article on his ride...its the August 2002 issue...will post more later...have to go read it now. :D

Have some tid-bits from the article:

The Engine Builder was quoted saying "This is a pretty nice engine to work on, 'cause the basic engineering is good"

"Its' putting out in excess of 225hp at 7800 rpm, the way it's currently set up. But more is coming," he says with a smile.

Car weight is 2,300 lbs...ballasted is 2,328 lbs.

Redline is 9,500 rpm w/ a 10,000 rpm tach.

He's using a cast aluminum block. Yes it's the same block design, but it's cast aluminum. The compression is also like around 15:1. Plus the ram air induction.

OK, I've got the article here. It's 13:1 compression. The ram air induction is nice, along with the custom intake manifold.
They also did a full page on the up-coming MazdaSpeed 3, and a whole article on the new Mazda 6. Lots of coverage for us this time. Being a P5 owner, I especially liked the Mazda 6 wagon. I haven't read the whole article yet (you know, like Playboy, just look at the pics first, then maybe go back and read it when you're bored!)
