I still say Worcester is probably the best place in New England to have meets.. not because it's a nice place (I never thought it was, perhaps I'm wrong though) but because it is pretty central. Still 2+ hours for me (leaving from my NEPOC-area home, not from my house up here
) in western CT, not too far from the Boston/Cape people, and doable for NH/VT/ME people if they aren't buried in snow and unable to leave the house.

I think if you draw a line between Worcester and Framingham, that is where you will find the best location to maximize member participation. Throw in F1 boston and Weymouth for special events but the every-day-last-minute crowd is in metro-west.
...don't get me wrong though. I'll make a trip out to western ma if we get decent participation.. I think the only western meet I missed was the first Kent meet.
