Welcome,
Installation instructions.
Level of difficulty -
1. Make 100% sure you take a photo of the needle position with the ignition off before you start. You will refer back to it when you are ready to place the needles back in place.
2. Remove hood by grabbing with hands then pulling towards you. The hood should detach fairly easily as it's connected with pressure clips.
3. Unscrew 3 screws.
4. Unplug the electrical connection.
* Be aware that the Mazda 2 has a security feature that when the plug is not connected the car will not start up until it's plugged back in.
5. After unscrewing and removing the instrument cluster completely from the dash you'll need to separate the white housing from the black/clear plastic housing by separating a handful of clips. Have patience and be extra careful to not break any clips. With some time they will all separate. You can use a flat head screwdriver to help you out.
* It is not necessary to remove the clear plastic cover.
6. Removing needles. ( Sorry, no pic ) Remove one needle at a time by very, very carefully pulling the needle outward from it's connection. Do it slowly and make sure not to bend the connection in any way. They actually come out quit easily.
7. Remove OEM Black Gauges and replace it with the White Gauges. Make sure to secure the White Gauges to all clips. Especially the 2 clips located in the needle holes. Make sure it is securely locked in place.
8. Repeat all steps in reverse and you'll end up with a very sporty looking gauges.
