Last question about this stuff, whats your opinion about the fm transmitters for mp3 players, espeically for the ipod, do they all do just about the same thing with fairly the same quality?
yes, i've tried almost everyone of those i work at BestBuy(we carry like 10different ones). if thats your only option then do it, its a decent-cheap option.
they're ok....but not great. Don't even BOTHER with a battery operated one - they don't spit out enough power to work worth s***. If you get one for the car get one that plugs directly into your 12V power supply -- I have the iRiver one for $50 and it is a million times better than the $20 battery-powered Belkin one I had.
Have done it as well, sound quality is very poor, even worse than FM broadcast radio. May work OK with a factory radio, but still not great. Even the old fashioned cassette adaptor sounds better, and of course the line in works best.
just curious, thinking about picking one up for a friend and curious if its worth it or not. So there all pretty much the same thing, I just want one that connects to the 12V lighter correct?
