curious if anyone has insight on how long to wait for the first wash - i've read things that say go right ahead & wash, others that say wait a month & wax immediately...any info from mazda on the matter greatly appreciated

If your car was just recently painted you might want to hold off for a bit. Check your build date on the driver's door panel. I'll bet you'll find that your car is safe to wash and wax now. I'll be washing mine for the first time today.

Yes, that's generally part of pre-delivery.

No reason to wait, the paint is dry... The car is usually a 3-4 weeks old at the earliest before it reaches a dealership or consumer.

I have waited for 3 months now and haven't washed my car. I think I will wait for a year or two.
