First Stock Cai For The Speed3

If you install a "Blue" product yourself you have 12 months/12,000 warranty. If the dealer installs it, it is covered by either the standard warranty or the duration of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty which is 36 months/36,000, whichever is longer. I paid the extra to avoid problems.

yes but working at a toyota dealership we have scions come in with the factory AEM intakes all the time. We take one look at them and just take the assumtion that they were dealer installed just due to the simple fact that as mechanics we know that there is not much you can **** up installing an intake. Not to mention that we dont have records to other dealerships to see who installed what all we can check is what was installed at the factory and what was installed at the port. I can understand checking the warranty for some high end performance upgrades but considering mazda doesnt even offer stuff like that yet there isnt rly a whole lot to worry about.

According the paperwork that came with mine, it says it is a green product and that is it has a 12 months / 12,000 mile warranty. It makes no qualifier about who installs it. It has no effect on your 3 year / 36,000 warranty that covers the rest of you car as long as it is "professionally installed by a Mazda certified Dealer".

CAIs make your car sound like a vacuum cleaner and then give you a BOV sound when you let off the gas. I had one on my VW and I HATED it. Even if it gives the MS3 some HP, I'm not putting one on.(freak)

You are 1000000% incorrect about the MS3 CAI. A slightly deeper exhaust note, no howling air intake and little if no BOV noise. You are passing up 20 hp or more for a measly $310.(wiggle)
